ATHENS, Greece - Greek youths are hurling rocks and broken paving stones at riot police who are responding with volleys of tear gas in central Athens. It is the seventh straight day of unrest over the fatal police shooting of a teenager.

Friday's clashes have broken out in and near the capital's Syntagma Square. Streets leading to the city center have been cordoned off.

Protesters have also entered the National Bank of Greece's main branch in the center of the capital, sending staff fleeing in panic. One protester walked up to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier outside Parliament and threw a black-and-red anarchist flag at the monument.

The riots are the worst Greece has experienced in decades. They broke out within hours of the death of 15-year-old Alexandros Grigoropoulos death last Saturday.
