McPhee proves her vocal cords are better

"American Idol" runner-up Katharine McPhee proved that her vocal cords are better by singing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" on "The View" on Thursday. She also co-hosted the daytime talk show. McPhee, 22, denied rumors that she missed the first few weeks of the "American Idols Live" tour because she was again struggling with bulimia. She also denied claims that she thought she was too good for "Idol," saying she's 'grateful' for what the show did for her. Sidelined with with severe bronchitis and laryngitis, McPhee said she was on doctors' orders not to make a sound for three weeks. McPhee was to join the other Idols on their tour stop in Pittsburgh tonight, then they'll meet President Bush at the White House on Friday.
